We are proud to release GhostBSD 1.0.

GhostBSD 1.0 Go Green.

Why Go Green?

We try to make GhostBSD Consume less energy and less hardware power.
Green after all is the only colour to be, because energy efficiency benefits everyone, from businesses that want to cut costs to idealists who wants to save the world. If you use your computer for fun – playing slots, RPGs or server-based FPS titles, or for work by running word processing programs, graphic design packages or operating spreadsheets – GhostBSD is the OS for you. We hope you enjoy it.

Whats new?

Base on FreeBSD-8-stable
Some new Theme.
Gnome 2.28.2.
We replace Exaile to Rhythmbox.
Firefox 3.5.8,1.
Use sudo and su In terminal with out password.

    Excellent news! It’s great to see people building their own “distros” with FreeBSD as the base. I think it’s helps expand the user base and promote the cause.

    My vedio card for notebook ATI Mobility Radeon ™ HD 3470 Hybrid X2 and it does not work with Xorg (in LiveDVD PC-BSD for example I did not the installer). Starts there on my laptop LiveCD GhostBSD 1.0 Release and if I can install GhostBSD 1.0 Release?

    Super szkoda że w wersji 1,5 beta nie ma instalatora pod i386.Szukałem jakiegoś systemu z Gnome bazowanego na systemie BSD. Bo wiadomo same systemu z rodziny BSD ktore jako desktop działają z KDE (PC-BSD,DesktopBSD)Liczyłem na desktop Gnome NetBSD, ale to chyba nigdy nie wyjdzie. A może by tworca systemu dodał w instalatorze wybór języka np taki PL. Pozdrawiam i czekam na instalator.
