Last September, GhostBSD accumulated 1016.69 CAD. 507.69 CAD was from Patreon, and 509.0 CAD was from donations through PayPal. So far this year, the total is 7744.15. There is 12255.85 left to accomplish our goal of 20000 CAD.

Last Friday morning, I tried to upgrade the website from Drupal 9 to Drupal 10. I always do a backup, but I did not this time, and the upgrade went wrong. If you got to the website, you might have noticed PHP errors. I tried to recover what I broke, but I could not recover.

I decided after work to redo the website. There is still some missing news article, but everything from this year is there. I still have the old website working and I will slowly add them.

First, I want to address an error in the January to July 2023 donation report. GhostBSD accumulated 2474.0 CAD from donations through PayPal instead of 3037.0 CAD. There was a bug in the automation script calculating the donation revenue. The total for the January to July 2023 donation report is 5781.94 CAD.

It is a late report, but I decided to release it anyway. First of all, thank you all for your help and donations. It helps to keep the project infrastructure to build and deliver GhostBSD.

So last year, GhostBSD accumulated 11077.95 CAD from Patreon and PayPal. It is a deficit of 4395.55 CAD compared to 2021 and a deficit of 198.25 CAD compared to 2020. The goal for 2022 was 20000 CAD. Since the project made 11077.95 CAD, it is a deficit of 8922.05 CAD.

The goal for 2023 is to stay at 20000 CAD.

This has been a long time since I have officially released an ISO. With all the difficulties and issues I encounter with the new Xorg version and old Nvidia drivers, this new ISO is overdue. 23.06.01 contains many bug fixes, security fixes, and feature improvements. For details, see the changelog below.

GhostBSD 22.06.18 ISO Changelog

The last change to automount was untested, and the live iso was automating all internal drives and caused serious partitioning issues and installation problems. I am sorry to everyone who tried to install GHostBSD and had issues.

After five months, this new ISO is more than overdue. It contains many bug fixes, security fixes, feature improvements, software updates, and OS updates. For details, see the changelog below.
